Cybergun's fully licensed Smith & Wesson M&P40 is one of the most realistic looking CO2 airsoft pistols on the market, featuring authentic trademarks and a rugged polymer design. Designed for military and law enforcement agencies, the Smith & Wesson M&P40 has garnered a reputation for being consistently reliable and comfortable to use and is currently in use by over five hundred police agencies worldwide! The airsoft version of the Smith & Wesson M&P40 is manufactured by KWC and features a polymer CO2 magazine, as well as rugged internals for better accuracy and power. The Cybergun licensed Smith & Wesson M&P40's realistic design and powerful performance truly sets it apart from most other airsoft CO2 powered pistols.
KWC paid amazing attention to detail on every aspect of their M&P40, from the placement of the trademarks, to the fish scale serrations at the rear of the slide. Staying faithful to the original M&P40, KWC has stippled the grip of their pistol giving it a comfortable non-slip feel. Another realistic feature of the KWC M&P40 are the white dot combat sights, which allow you to quickly and easily line up the pistol with your target. Adding accessories such as rail mounted flashlights and lasers is made easy with the integrated frame accessory rail, giving the pistol a more modern and tactical appearance.
Internally, the M&P40 is designed for accuracy and hard hitting power, featuring a metal inner barrel and KWC's unique BAXS shooting system. These features combined give this CO2 pistol an astounding effective range, easily capable of hitting man sized targets at 40 metres with 0.25g BBs! KWC's CO2 M&P40 also packs a serious punch, firing at over 340 FPS! The non-blowback operation of this CO2 pistol increases its efficiency, and boosts the muzzle velocity by utilizing more CO2 gas for each shot. A single 12g CO2 cartridge can provide over 150 shots (depending on temperature and conditions)!
The M&P is a direct evolution of the unsuccessful Smith & Wesson Sigma design, however it does not share parts compatibility with the Sigma. The M&P design has an improved trigger, enhanced ergonomics that allow for end user customization. An industry standard picatinny rail and a higher grip has been afforded with an improved grip and beavertail. Many of the ergonomic study elements that had been incorporated into the Sigma and the Smith & Wesson SW99 were brought over to the M&P. The improved trigger weight and feel, and unique takedown method (not requiring a dry-fire pull of the trigger) were meant to set the M&P apart from both the Sigma and the popular Glock pistols.
