The Mk43 is a contemporary and updated version of the well known M60 General Purpose Machine Gun. The model has been modified to meet today's criteria for a GPMG. The barrel has been shortened, the handguard bears a vertical grip and the sights have been modernised. A&K did an amazing work bringing this model to life.
The Mk43 is entirely made out of metal with the exception of the stock, pistol grip and handguard. An adjustable length/retractable bipod also comes integrated onto the gun itself, as users will find it very useful in times of varying Airsoft combat scenarios. There is also a vertical fore-grip hand guard at the front of the rifle that is every bit as unique as it is functional. Overall length of the rifle has been shortened from the original M60 to provide superior maneuverability and improve overall balance. The rear sight is foldable and adjustable as well.
The A&K MK43 offers a lot of unique and down-right cool features at a reasonable cost. Our favorite is hands down the adjustable ROF (rate of fire) switch located underneath the barrel. With a twist of this switch, you are able to actually increase or decrease the rate of fire of this rifle to best fit your shooting needs. Adjusting this switch accordingly produces a varying rate of fire, from 11-20 RPS (rounds per second). It’s an extremely useful and neat feature by all accounts, and is standard on the A&K MK43. As it so happens, rate of fire is one of the MK43’s most outstanding attributes, as it tops out shooting over 1,100 rounds per minute on fully automatic mode! The model can be upgraded fairly easily, as it utilizes a quick spring change gearbox. The internal components are compatible with Version 3 Gearbox aftermarket products (except for the Version 2 spring guide). Its magazine is a Electric Auto-Winding 3500 Rounds Box (Synchronize Sound Activated), which has a built-in sound sensor which helps winding bullet into barrel while shooting.
The Mk43/M60E4 General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG) is a 7.62 mm NATO light machine gun. Evolved from the M60 Series of machine guns, it has several improvements over the originals. The Mk43/M60E4 Series includes the Mod 0 and Mod 1 configurations. The Mk43/M60E4 is effective against infantry, unarmored or lightly armored vehicles and boats. It is the primary light machine gun used in some NATO countries and other U.S. Government export-approved countries. The Mk43 machine gun currently is manufactured solely by U.S. Ordnance (USORD). USORD has produced it since 2000.
