This M4A1 Carbine is made out of nylon fiber that makes it light, but still reliable. The carrying handle is removable and bears the adjustable rear sight. Under the carrying handle there is a standard 20mm Picatinny rail. There are Airborne engraved markings on the receiver. The stock is retractable LE type. It bears two sling attachment points, one at the stock and one at the front sight post.
The model uses a standard Version 2 Gearbox with metal gears and polycarbonate piston. Its velocity is around 330 FPS and is ideal for both CQB and open space games. The M4 is compatible with most stanag type magazines. The package includes a metal high capacity one, that carries 300 BBs and makes reloading scarce.
The package includes the M4A1, its metal high capacity magazine, battery, charger and a sling which makes it an ideal starter offer for novice players.
The M4 carbine is a family of firearms that was derived from earlier carbine versions of the M16 rifle, which was in turn derived from the original AR-15 rifle that Eugene Stoner designed and ArmaLite made. The M4 is a shorter and lighter variant of the M16A2 assault rifle. It is a gas-operated, magazine-fed, selective fire, shoulder-fired weapon with a telescoping stock and 14.5 in (370 mm) barrel to ease close quarters combat. Like the rest of the M16 family, it fires the .223 caliber, or 5.56mm NATO round.
The M4 carbine is heavily used by the U.S military. It will eventually replace the M16 rifle for most combat units in the United States Army. The winner of the Individual Carbine competition was to supplement the M4 carbine in U.S. Army service; all other services will continue using the M4 carbine and M16 rifles. The Army cancelled the Individual Carbine competition without selecting a replacement rifle and instead plans to equip soldiers with the improved M4A1.
