ICS has come up with a surpisingly interesting idea of attaching a short stock on an M4A1 carbine. That makes the good old M4A1 more convenient for Close Quarters games without loosing the long barrel. The shorter stock makes it easier to carry around as well. The model has a detachable carry handle that bears the rear sight. The flat top receiver under the removable carry handle is perfect for mounting aiming and optical devices but the standard sights give great stock aiming abilities.
This replica features a redesigned gearbox which has both performance and ease of maintenance built into its design. It uses a unique split design that allows the gear box to be separated in two sections, the upper gearbox containing the cylinder and piston assembly and the lower gearbox containing the gears and motor. This allows for quick easy maintenance including the changing of springs, gears and general lubrication of the internals.
The high quality work on this replica is one of the many design features that ICS are well known for. With a Nylon Fibre receiver that is both very durable and has a great matt finish that gives this replica a very realistic look and feel to it. Many other parts of this M4A1 are metal including a redesigned outer barrel this is precisely fitted to the receiver eliminating the infamous barrel wobble that many replica’s have.
This replica comes with a high capacity magazine as standard, which helps you get started quickly and saves you money right from the word go. This magazine features a larger design than most M16 series magazines, offering a more realistic size. This magazine has a large 450 round capacity, using the increased space to great effect, holding 150 rounds more than most standard M16 high capacity magazines.
The package includes the M4A1, its High Capacity metal magazine, a bottle with 1000 BBs, a cleaning rod and the instructions DVD.
The M4 carbine is a family of firearms that was derived from earlier carbine versions of the M16 rifle, which was in turn derived from the original AR-15 rifle that Eugene Stoner designed and ArmaLite made. The M4 is a shorter and lighter variant of the M16A2 assault rifle. It is a gas-operated, magazine-fed, selective fire, shoulder-fired weapon with a telescoping stock and 14.5 in (370 mm) barrel to ease close quarters combat. Like the rest of the M16 family, it fires the .223 caliber, or 5.56mm NATO round.
