The Cyma RPK folding stock has been a long time in the making, designed and manufactured from the ground up as an RPK 74, Cyma did not go the normal route that some manufacturers had chosen in the past by just modifying a standard AK. It feels and looks like an accurate RPK model with all the details that distinguise it from other AK variants. The stock has a distinctive shape found on RPKs only. Another feature the gun has not normally found on other AK airsoft guns is the rear sight has both windage and elevation adjustment via a unique adjuster and is finished of with some nice adjustment markings. The receiver bears two reinforcement points where it meets the trunion.
The model is constructed from metal and laminated wood. The receiver, top cover, sights and barrel are made of metal. The only non-metal parts are the laminated wood stock and handguard and the polymer pistol grip. Due to the battery stored in the stock, under the top cover lies a realistic bolt carrier not normally found on airsoft guns that is both very strong and smooth to operate.
The RPK utilizes a Version 3 Gearbox like any other AK. It comes with a reinforced gearbox with metal bushings, polycarbonate piston, ball bearing spring guide, that shoots at 430 FPS out of the box. The adjustable Hop Up mechanism is metal as well.
Comes as standard with a 1000 rd magazine, solid stable bipod and 74 flash hider. If you are looking for an RPK 74 then this airsoft gun will make a nice addition to any AK enthusiasts collection and is a nice break away from the normal RPK.
The package includes the RPK 74, its polymer High Capacity magazine, battery and charger.
Introduced in 1974 together with the AK-74 assault rifle and chambered for the new 5.45x39mm high-velocity cartridge. The RPK-74 derives from the AK-74 rifle, with modifications that mirror those made to the AKM to create the RPK. The RPK-74 also uses a longer and heavier chrome-plated barrel, which has a new gas block with a gas channel at a 90° angle to the bore axis, and a ring for the cleaning rod. The RPK-74 was also equipped with a folding bipod and a different front sight tower. The muzzle is threaded for a flash suppressor or blank-firing device.
The rear stock trunnion was strengthened and the magazine well was reinforced with steel inserts.
Additionally, the RPK-74 has a modified return mechanism compared to the AK-74, which uses a new type of metal spring guide rod and recoil spring. The rear sight assembly, forward handguard and receiver dust cover were all retained from the RPK.
