This full metal Airsoft rifle weighs a whopping 3 kilos and it is sturdy and heavy to hold. It has a working charging handle which can be pulled back to reveal the hopup mechanism. Release it and the metal dust cover springs into place with the pleasant metal clinking sound.
The selector switch is crisp and locks into place as the operator chooses to snipe a tango down range on semi or full auto in a CQB environment to clear the room. The rear sight is adjustable to engage hostiles at any distance. The built-in front and rear swivel sling adapters are metal just like its real steel counter part. Add the tactical 3-point sling and you're ready to take anyone down.
The model is constructed of the finest quality metal. The only non metal parts are the polymer stock, pistol grip and handguard. On the left side of the receiver is located the side mount base for attaching tactical accessories. The stock can be folded to the left side to make it easier to weld around in CQB games and make it easy to transport.
The battery is located under the top cover and it is a typical AK stick Type one. Upon chronographing using 0.20g BBs, this AEG shot 330 FPS with dead on accuracy. This model features a one piece Version 3 Gearbox. The Gearbox is one of the highest quality ones found straight out of the box. Assembled with Turbo 3000 motor, 16 gauges Teflon and silicon wire, steel bushing and patented hollow switch set, adjustable Hop up.
The package includes the AK74, with two High Capcity 550 rounds polymer magazines, a cleaning rod, an instructiuons DVD, 1000 BBs and a cleaning rod.
The AK74 family of assault rifles were developed in the early 1970s in the Soviet Union as the replacement for the earlier AKM (itself a refined version of the AK-47). It uses a smaller intermediate cartridge, the 5.45x39mm, replacing the 7.62x39mm chambering of earlier Kalashnikov-pattern weapons.
The AK-74 assault rifle is a modernized version of the AK-47 developed in 1974.The latest variant, issued to the Russian troops since early 1990s. When it first appeared, the AK-74M was assumed by NATO to be a limited-production version to equip special forces .
Key differences from the earlier AK-74M rifles are the side-folding plastic butt stock and the scope mounting rail on the left side of the receiver.
