The Magpul fully-licensed MASADA AEG rifle, manufactured by A&K, is a high-tech, high-speed tactical carbine that is unique and unlike any other rifle on the market. The A&K Magpul MASADA features a full metal upper receiver with a high-strength polymer lower receiver. The stock, much like that of a SCAR, both folds and retracts to 6 different positions. Its cheek piece can be raised to adapt to the use of optical devices. The provided QD sling swivel can be attached to both the side of the stock and the handguard.
Most parts on the rifle itself, including the fire selector, mag release, and bolt release are ambidextrous. The charging handle is functional and allows the adjustment of the Hop Up mechanism. The rear flip up sight is removable and adjustable as well. The front sight can be tucked away nicely that sits flush on the integrated upper receiver rail. The adaptive handguard can accept Picatinny rail segments that aid the attachment of tactical accessories. A great finishing touch to the exterior is the holographic Magpul logo seal, which has been affixed to the receiver of the rifle.
On the inside, the A&K Magpul MASADA features a high performance gearbox and motor for incredible shooting performance. With 0.20g BBs, the A&K MASADA can easily top 400 FPS and fire over 800 rounds per minute with ease. The ergonomically-designed front hand guard is removable to expose the battery housing. Another great characteristic of the MASADA is its modular capability. The open-access barrel is designed to be quickly interchangeable, allowing the user to quickly detach/attach whichever barrel he or she deems is necessary for the task at hand. It is also reverse-compatible with a ton of M4/M16 components, since it was based on the AR-carbine chassis to begin with, so it's a dream rifle for those who wish to do their own upgrades. The magazine is a polymer High Capacity Magpul style one that holds 300 rounds.
The package includes the A&K Masada, its magazine, battery and charger.
The Adaptive Combat Rifle (ACR) is the production name for an updated version of the Masada Adaptive Combat Weapon System. It is an assault rifle platform designed by Magpul Industries of Erie, Colorado. In late January 2008, Bushmaster entered into a licensing agreement with Magpul whereby Bushmaster would take over production, future development, and sales of the Masada. Remington Arms are currently contracted to manufacture the rifle for the US Military and US Law Enforcement agencies.
