The CYMA CM050A Full Metal AIMS is another great example of CYMA's range of AK style airsoft guns. The AIMS is a Romanian variation of the AKM series of rifles. This version is equipped with the rifght amount of tactical accessories to make our life more spicy and tactical. The body is sturdily constructed with metal parts including the receiver, receiver cover, folding stock, barrel assembly, selector lever, trigger assembly, and the magazine catch.
The AK has a side folding stock that makes transportation easy and it is nicknamed the coat hanger for obvious stylistic reasons. The front set is among the most interesting features of the model. The lower handguard is polymer and modelled after the TDI one, with Picatinny attachment points. The upper handguard and gas tube has been replaced with an Ultimak gas tube that offers the ability of attaching optical devices. Due to these modernising touches, the model is widely known as the PMC version (Private Military Contractor). The AIMS' additionalfeatures include sling attachment points on the stock and the handguard. The rear sight is metal and adjustable. On the left side of the receiver there is an AK accessory rail that the user can mount AK style accessories. At 3 kilos (3350 gr) it is certainly a hefty gun.
With 0.20g BBs, it chronos in hot at over 400 FPS, and is extremely accurate due to its improved tight bore full metal barrel. The barrel itself has been re-designed and re-manufactured to allow for farther shots with greater overall accuracy and power. The charging handle can be pulled back and it reveals the adjustable Hop Up mechanism. The all-new V3 reinforced metal gearbox is coupled to an aggressive ultra high-torque motor, allowing this AKM to shoot hard and churn out over 800 rounds per minute with just the stock battery! The model comes with a high capacity magazine that can hold up to 600 rounds. The AK stick type battery is stored under the top cover.
The package includes the AKM, its High Capacity magazine, battery and charger.
The AKM (Avtomat Kalashnikova Modernizirovanniy or "Kalashnikov modernized automatic rifle") is a 7.62mm assault rifle designed by Mikhail Kalashnikov. It is an upgraded version of the AK-47 rifle developed in the 1950s.
Introduced into service with the Soviet Army in 1959, the AKM is the most ubiquitous variant of the entire AK series of firearms and it has found widespread use with most member states of the former Warsaw Pact and its many African and Asian allies as well as being widely exported and produced in many other countries. The production of these Soviet rifles was carried out at both the Tula Arms Plant and Izhmash. It was officially replaced in Soviet frontline service by the AK-74 in the late 1970s, but remains in use worldwide.
