G&G L85A1 Carbine Blowback AEG The L85A1 by G&G Armament is an excellent rifle for those looking for out-of-the-ordinary alternatives. Built in Taiwan, this rifle offers superior quality and performance compared to similar models made in China. Built with G&G's patented blowback system, this rifle also offers realistic recoil designed to top out your performance requirements. Inside the magazine well of the rifle is also a piston reset button so that you don't have to worry about lost spring power. The upper receiver, lower receiver, carry handle, barrel assembly, and magazine are an extremely durable aluminum alloy and steel composite. The rest as necessary are a resilient blend of nylon, fiberglass, and plastic. The mechbox has been factory upgraded to incorporate zinc gears, high tension spring, 8mm bearings, and a 25000 rpm hi-torque long axis motor. The included magazine is G&G's standard 450 round high capacity magazine and replacement magazines abound. The battery compartment is located inside the forearm of the rifle. We recommend getting the large to small tamiya adapter so that you can use the much easier to install nunchucks and minis. Airsoft players love this gun for its exacting replication of the real British L85A1 down to the from the non-functioning gas piston and one-pin disassembly to the individualized serial number
The SA80 (Small Arms for the 1980s) is a British family of 5.56mm small arms. It is a selective fire, gas-operated assault rifle. Elements of its design, in particular the bullpup configuration, come from the earlier EM-2 rifle. The first prototypes were trialled in 1976 and production ended in 1994. It is due to remain in service until 2025.
The L85 rifle variant of the SA80 family has been the standard issue service rifle of the British Armed Forces since 1987, replacing the L1A1 variant of the FN FAL. The improved L85A2 remains in service today. The remainder of the family comprises the L86 Light Support Weapon, the short-barrelled L22 carbine and the L98 Cadet rifle.
The SA80 was the last in a long line of British weapons (including the Lee-Enfield family) to come from the national arms development and production facility at Enfield Lock.
