Value wise, this MP40 is the among the highest ranking bang-for-your-buck premium airsoft AEGs. With a body that is mostly metallic, it weighs in at a hefty 2.7 kilos and is as real as it gets for an airsoft gun. And all for a nominal price that is less than half of any other MP40 on the market today. The MP40 is made out of metal with a realistic mat black finish. The lower part of the receiver is plastic like the original one that was constructed out of bakelite. The overall length makes it easy to carry around. The underfolding stock helps too. The rear sight can be adjusted for short or medium distance shots. The model bears two sling swivels, on the rear end of it and on the base of the barrel. Don't hesitate to combine it with a KAR 98 leather sling that fits it perfectly.
The Airsoft MP40 that you see here has some differences from a real MP40 in that it features a selector switch to enable you to fire both in semi-automatic and fully automatic modes. It also features an “on/off” switch on the bottom of the pistol grip. Aside from being quite an accurate and realistic collector's item for a bargain price, this MP40 definitely also packs a lot of punch as an airsoft full automatic that shoots at over 310 FPS. The model utilizes a unique type Gearbox with Version 2/3 compatible internals. The battery rests above the gearbox and it is accessible by spliting the upper and the lower receiver of the gun. The available size is perfect for Mini or Crane type. The adjustable Hop Up mechanism lies inside the shell ejecting port. The metal magazine that is included carries 50 BBs.
The package includes the MP40, its metal low cap magazine, battery and charger.
The MP 38 and MP 40 (MP designates Maschinenpistole, literally "Machine Pistol") were submachine guns developed in Nazi Germany and used extensively by paratroopers, platoon and squad leaders, and other troops during World War II. The MP 40 was characterized by its relatively low rate of fire and low recoil.
