ARES is well known for its full metal M4 series. To reduce the price, but not the quality the company introduces the S line of products. The only difference is the replacement of the metal receiver with a strong Nylon Fibre one. Everything else remains the same, that players enjoy worldwide.
The M4A1 is a replica of the M4 carbine. The retractable stock is modelled after the ooldschool AR15 stock and sits on a metal buffer tube. The receiver is made out of durable, sturdy but light weight polymer. The carry handle is removable and bears the rear sight that is adjustable. Under the handle, lies a full rail upper reciever that allows the attachment of tactical accessories. The aluminum outer barrel is adjustable with a metal delta ring, side sling mount and flsh hider. The charging handle is steel that reassures extreme strength. Finally the model utilizes a functional bolt catch, that helps adjusting the Hop Up system.
As with any other M4 type airsoft gun, it uses a Version 2 Gearbox that is already reinforced and shoots 350 to 380 out of the box. With its strenghtened internals and the High Torque moto, the model is ready to Rock n Roll. Hopup adjustment is made easier, and more realistic. Racking the charging handle both drops open the dust cover and locks back the fake bolt, exposing the hopup adjustment wheel. When you’re satisfied with the setting, use the bolt release lever to release the fake bolt and enable closing of the dust cover. Its magazine is metal and holds 330 BBs so it makes reloading scarce. It is compatible with any type of M4/16 magazine in the market.
The package includes the M4, its magazine, a cleaning rod and its manual.
The M4 carbine is a family of firearms that was derived from earlier carbine versions of the M16 rifle, which was in turn derived from the original AR-15 rifle that Eugene Stoner designed and ArmaLite manufactured. The M4 is a shorter and lighter variant of the M16A2 assault rifle. It is a gas-operated, magazine-fed, selective fire, shoulder-fired weapon with a telescoping stock and 14.5 in (370 mm) barrel to ease close quarters combat. Like the rest of the M16 family, it fires the .223 caliber, or 5.56 mm NATO round.
The M4 has selective fire options including semi-automatic and three-round burst (like the M16A2 and M16A4), while the M4A1 has the capability to fire fully automatic instead of three-round burst (like the M16A1 and M16A3). The carbine is also capable of mounting an M203 grenade launcher (the M203A1 with a 9-inch barrel as opposed to the standard 12-inch barrel of the M203 used on the M16 series) as well as its successor, the M320 grenade launcher.
