The Army Combat Uniform (ACU), are the current battle uniforms worn by the United States Army. First unveiled in June 2004, it is the successor to the Battle Dress Uniform (BDU) and Desert Camouflage Uniform (DCU) worn from the 1980s and 1990s, through the early 2000s, respectively.
Pentagon is offering this contemporary design into various colorations to satisfy every airsoft, paintball enthousiast or the concerned Military and LE personell.
The ACU trouser (or ACU pant) can be worn with a two-inch nylon web belt, and features Velcro pouches for knee pad inserts. The two cargo pockets are forward-tilted, with elastic drawstring and Velcro for closure during movement. Two calf storage pockets on each pant leg with a Velcro closure, offer cargo space for storing first aid items or chemical lights, etc, etc.
Tactical uniform fabrics must be comfortable, durable and have excellent color integrity. To achieve that, Pentagon uses an 65% polyester / 35% cotton fabric manufactured in a ripstop weave. Its 215gsm weight is ideal for all seasons use.
The trousers are double stiched for increased sturdiness, but also triple stitched in the places where extra strength is needed.
The waist is secured via a drawstring and a fly button. The drawstring offers maximum fit adjustment.
The trousers bear the typical waist and back pockets found in every tactical pair of pants. The rear ones come with cap and button closure.
Due to the needs in a contemporary battlefield, the trousers offer an extra 4 pockets. The cargo pockets are slanted which are deisgned for battle stance use. They close via buttons and Velcro tabs. They also offer an elastic string to keep the items in them tight and secure.
On the lower part of the legs, lie two more pockets. These are meant to be accessible while kneeling. Their size make them ideal for chemical lights, bandages, multitools and such.
On the knee area, there are two pockets designed to be used with inserts (not included). These provide low profile protection, for those who wish to stay away from bulky knee pads.
All in all, Pantagon ACU trousers are top notch, fully loaded with usefull details and sturdy construction that will satisfy every user.
