KJW has been producing Glocks and 1911s for some years now. Their models are extremely realistic with real like operating functions. The Glock 23 looks amazing with no flaws on the overall construction. It matches up to the size and weight of the real unloaded Glock almost perfect. The slide is metal. The frame is constructed out of High Density polymer just like the real deal. The frame is railed and allows the attachment of various tactical accessories. The pistol utilizes a Gas Blowback system that is realistic in use.

The sights are easy to see and very secure with a screw underneath holding them in place, which is accessible when you remove the slide. Both rear and front sights carry white markings that allow fast target acquisition. These can be upgraded easily to night sights or whatever the owner prefers. The grip is stamped with the KJ logo where the Glock logo usually sits. The texture on the frame aids proper grip and shot. The stippling on the grip panels is decent, and the checkering on the front and backstraps is quite deep. The magazine release is located on the left hand side of the pistol and easily accessible no matter the hand sidze of the user.

The outer barrel is made of metal and the inner barrel is made of brass. This pistol has an adjustable Hop Up system that is easily accessed with the slide removed and does not require any special tools to adjust. It is effective and can easily be dialed to make the gun very accurate up to 40 metres away. The trigger is somewhat heavy, but promptly fires with the slide blowing back with a loud clink after firing. The trigger is made of heavy duty plastic and is very thick. Like the real steel version, the safety notch on it, is fully functional. On the frame, lies a secondary safety disguised as the serial number plate.

The magazine is heavy and all metal except for the bottom plate which is detachable and made of thick plastic. It has dummy Glock load indicators up and down the back of the mag in a double stack configuration. Its capacity is 21 BBs. The average velocity of the Glock 23 is around 300 FPS.

Disassembly on Glocks, like most other pistols, is quite simple. Simply drop the magazine, pull down the disassembly lever, and pull the slide off the front of the gun. The recoil guide rod is fully contained, so its unlikely to shoot off with your recoil spring like so many 1911s and plug-spring style guns do. This gun comes from the same vein as Marui and HFC glocks, so the internals are quite similar.

The Glock pistol, sometimes referred to by the manufacturer as a Glock "Safe Action" Pistol, is a series of polymer-framed, short recoil operated, locked breech semi-automatic pistols designed and produced by Glock Ges.m.b.H., located in Deutsch-Wagram, Austria. They were the second pistols to incorporate polymer frames (HK P70 being the first). Glock pistols are extremerely reliable and they are considered the AKs of pistols. The Glock 23 is a .40 variant of the compact line of Glocks.
