Jing Gong produces some of the finest G36 models in the market. The SL8/9 family of rifles is a semi auto version designed for civilian use, but it can be a wonderfull DMR or Sniper platform. The ergonomics are excellent and unique at the same time.
The receiver of the model is made out of High Density plastic with excellent surface finish. Metal parts include the outer barrel, flash hider, selector switch, etc. The model has 3 sling attachement points on the receiver.
This model doesn't use the folding stock, like the other memebrs of the family. The stock is fixed, but fully adjustable. The users may adopt the cheek height and the stock length according to his like.
The handguard comes with a 20 mm standard Picatinny rail. The top rail has an integrated optic and a Zeiss red dot sight on top. The integrated bipod can be folded away when not in use.
The model uses the everlasting Version 3 Gearbox, with all new and upgraded internals. It shoots around 330 FPS but its long barrel will help to reach out there and touch people. The reinforced gearbox is a very solid platform for upgrades though.
The battery is stored in the handguard and the available space is enough for a small type battery.
The package comes with the short Sniper type magazines which hold 20 BBs. The model is compatible with every other G36 magazine though.
Pulling the cocking lever backwards it reveals the HOP UP adjustement point.
Package includes the G36, a polymer 20 BBs magazine, battery and charger.
The Heckler & Koch SL8/9 is a semi-automatic rifle manufactured by Heckler & Koch. It is the civilian version of the Heckler & Koch G36. The rifle fires the .223 Remington or 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge and feeds from a 10, 20 or 30 round detachable magazine (depending on the variant of the rifle). To adapt the G36 for the civilian market, its pistol grip and folding stock have been replaced by a fixed stock with a thumbhole. The receiver has also been modified to prevent attachment of a folding stock and the use of a magazine that exceeds 10 rounds capacity.
