The MK43 Mod O is a beast of a gun, made from aluminum, steel and some nylon fiber. Yet, it remains a perfectly usable AEG, as it keeps a reasonable weight despite its size and metal construction. The body, outer barrel, flash hider, side and bottom rail are all made from aluminum. It comes with an adjustable 3 step bipod and a 4000 round magazine, which features a newly designed direct fill up to the gearbox system - no more BB running. A dummy 7.62mm cartridge belt is also provided (made of plastic), that adds a nice touch.
Although 3850 gr lighter than the real steel the AEG still provides a very realistic feel weighing in at a prettyy hefty 4.5 kg. Featuring realistic markings on the body from US Ordnance the Mk43 has a tubular 3 step extendable bipod and with the exception of the grip and stock the rest of the gun is made from Aluminium and Nylon Fiber and is extremely sturdy. Including a Full Rail system for mounting a host of accesories and also included is a foregrip to make wielding this beast more user friendly. The box magazine has a 4000 rd capacity and is neat and tidy and the magazine is connected to the AEG and features an auto-wind system very useful for those engagements where sustained fire is required!
The feed tray on the ASG Mk43 Mod1 is different from othersand features a spring lever to hold your dummy rounds in place. The rear flip up sight is fully adjustable for elevation and windage. All in all, the Mk43 Mod1 is definitely worth your bang for the buck!
Internally the MK43 features a full metal gearbox with Ares' famous quick change spring system. The procedure to change the spring on this gun literally takes 5 seconds; first open the receiver cover, then push the spring guide into the gearbox a bit, lift the lever on top of the gearbox to free the spring guide, and voila, the spring is free! There are no tools or special airsmith training required. Another great feature about this gun is the auto winding magazine. The motor to wind the magazine is connected to the trigger switch in the gun, so the mag only winds when the trigger is pulled. Ares has been, and continues to be, a leader of airsoft innovation, and this new M60 E4/MK43 Mod1 is a prime example of that innovation.
The Mk43/M60E4 General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG) is a 7.62 mm NATO light machine gun. Evolved from the M60 Series of machine guns, it has several improvements over the originals. The Mk43/M60E4 Series includes the Mod 0 and Mod 1 configurations. The Mk43/M60E4 is effective against infantry, unarmored or lightly armored vehicles and boats. It is the primary light machine gun used in some NATO countries and other U.S. Government export-approved countries. The Mk43 machine gun currently is manufactured solely by U.S. Ordnance (USORD). USORD has produced it since 2000.
