Umarex brings us this model which replicates the latest variant of the of the HK416. The rifle comes with licensed H&K trademarks through Umarex USA so its quality is what you would expect from one of the leading manufactures in the airsoft industry.
The external components of this amazing looking rifle are constructed from metal so it is rock solid yet well balanced and easy to maneuver. This version wears the 14.5 inch barrel.
Besides the pistol grip and the sliding stock, every other part of the rifle is metal.
The railed handguard follows closely to the real steel equivalent, being embedded into the upper receiver. It also features a one-screw fix/take down.
The Umarex HK416 even replicates the adjustable Gas Piston System that is iconic on the real deal carbine.
Both front and rear sights are removable and the rear one has four different apertures for aiming at various distances.
The HK416 does not require an external battery box since the battery is housed inside of the rifles crane stock which can accept either an 8.4v or 9.6v nun-chuck style battery pack.
Internally the rifle is equipped with a full metal Version 2 gearbox fitted with steel gears running on 7mm bearing bushings.
You will also find a steel spring guide with bearings and a ported aluminum piston head.
This all produces 125 m/s at the muzzle which will dominate every outdoor game.
The brainchild of a joint effort between world renowned German arms maker Heckler & Koch and the U.S. Army’s elite Delta Force, the H&K HK416 was designed to replace the aging M4 Carbine.
Utilizing an HK G36 style proprietary gas system, the HK416 offers many improvements over the M4’s direct impingement gas system. With a short-stroke piston driving an operating rod to force the bolt carrier to the rear, the HK416’s gas system prevents gases and carbon from entering the weapon’s interior components as well as reduced heat transfer and carbon fouling.
These improvements result in more rounds fired between stoppages, reduced operator maintenance and less stress on critical internal components. Currently used by several military and law enforcement units around the world, the H&K HK416 represents the step forward in military small arms.
