When it designed the LGV, Walther focused on improving the repeat accuracy of the hinge, an essential precision factor in a break-barrel rifle. This was achieved by means of a new barrel with positive locking, representing a significant improvement over the non-positive barrel locks used in break-barrel systems up to that time.
Now, almost 50 years after developing the first LGV, a new break-barrel rifle is presented: the LGV 2012. Decades of experience plus enormous technical expertise have gone into the new models in this series.
Marksmen will discover totally new qualities in a break-barrel rifle: never has shooting been so quiet and free of vibrations, and increased accuracy is the reward.
The LGV is a spring operated break barrel airgun. To cock the rifle, press the barrel release lever and push the barrel down until you hear the trigger click into place. Load a pellet into the back of the barrel as shown in the picture.
The stock is made by high density polymer material with an aggressive surface texture. The rubber pad at the rear end of the stock makes manipulating the rifle as soft and smooth as possible.
The barrel and receiver are made by high end metal. The Ultra version, bears an extra weight on the barrel that acts as a balancer. Prepare to have more balanced shots then...
The user can activate the manual safety located at the rear end of the receiver. The position of the lever make it ambidextrous.
The rear sight can be adjusted for both windage and elevation. Both rear and front sights comes with Truglo Fiber Optic to help aiming in various light conditions.
A very important detail that shows the rifle is designed for competition use, is the adjustable trigger. The first stage travel, i.e. the path of the
trigger finger piece up to the let-off point, can be individually adjusted.
The 23 Joule version, puts out an amazing 300 m/s which will satisfy the most demanding user.
If you decide not to shoot the rifle, you can decock it by breaking open the barrel until it locks the open position. While holding the barrel firmly with one hand, release the safety and pull the trigger.
All this quality is no coincidence. The rifle is made in Germany by the Walther factory.
