The Crosman MTR77NP is a unique looking airgun. It has modern M16 rifle styling with a black all-weather tactical synthetic stock and handguard.
This Nitro Piston powered break barrel air rifle is chambered in 4.5 mm / .177 caliber and will shoot alloy pellets up to 1200 fps with 18 foot pounds of energy.
Producing 70% less noise than spring powered airguns, the Nitro Piston powered Vantage NP offers reduced recoil and quicker locking time. It also has the benefits of smoother cocking, no spring torque and it functions perfectly even in cold weather. You may leave the rifle cocked for hours as it doesn't produce spring fatigue (even though it is not advised) and it lasts longer than a metal spring.
It fires a single shot that is actually stored in the dummy removable magazine.
The rifled steel barrel ads to the accuracy of this excellent rifle. The adjustable two-stage trigger makes shooting easier.
The front sight is both adjustable and removable. The carry handle comes with the rear sight, also adjustable and can be removed to reveal a flat top receiver with a Picatinny mount.
The rifle comes with two sling mounts, one at the end of the stock and one under the handguard, more or less at the same place found in an M16 rifle.
The safety lever is located on the left hand side, above the thumb, much like the M16 rifle.
