The Magpul PTS FPG is based on the real steel Magpul FMG9, a rapidly-deployable, ultra-concealable personal defense weapon currently in development for military, law-enforcement and private security operators. It is designed to offer maximum firepower and control in a compact and discreet package.
The unique design of the FPG allows it to be quickly deployed, the compact gun unfolds with the flick of the charging handle and is ready to shoot immediately. The FPG’s internals are based on the KSC/KWA Glock 18C and can shoot full auto right out of the box. A 49 round magazine comes standard with the FPG and it also features a integrated top picatinny rail for mounting flashlights and laser sights. Made almost entirely out of high-strength fiber-reinforced polymer, this gun is light and maneuverable giving you that reaction time you need to draw, deploy and sight your weapon on target to defuse any hostile situation quickly and with maximum prejudice. The carry handle (as already mentioned) has built-in sights but for those of use looking to speed up our target acquisition even more, there is a rail under the removable carry handle to allow the mounting of reflex sights, red dots and other optics and accessories.
The close quarter environment will not be the same as soon as these hit airsoft fields. Having such as small and ultra compact shoulder fired weapon will become one of the most sought after SMG platforms. The carry handle atop the ultra compact SMG conversion would enable operators to carry weapon a lot easier not that its 650g weight is heavy. Its integrated vertical foregrip allows each operator to smoothly and easily acquisition targets. Once done the FPG as it name serves will compact within itself into a neat little package. Due to the Glock base, the system shoots around 330 FPS and the adjustable Hop Up system, the shooting experience is similar to any other G17/18 KSC/KWA platform.
The Magpul Folding Pocket Gun (FPG) (formerly called FMG9) is a conceptual prototype. It is a rapidly-deployable, ultra-concealable personal defense weapon currently in development for military, law-enforcement and private security operators. It is designed to offer maximum firepower and control in a compact and discreet package. The non-firing prototype was unveiled during the 2008 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, NV and features a streamlined polymer casing, ready-to-fire push-button deployment, Glock 17 slide assembly, capability to accept up to 31-Round Glock 18 magazines (in the folded position), top Picatinny (MIL-STD-1913A) rail and a detachable carry handle with light shield.
